An essential part of our transportation operation is following a compliant maintenance program. In Section 396.3 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations states that a carrier must have a program to systematically inspect, repair, and maintain, or cause to be systematically inspected, repaired and maintained, all motor vehicles subject under its control. Our policy is to keep all company motor vehicles well maintained and in safe and efficient operating conditions at all times.Our preventtive maintenance program adheres to the following procedures.
Mandatory pre-trip inspections are conducted by our as a part of their normal routine. Each driver submits a form that details bus safety components and the condition of the equipment before, during, and after each trip. Maintenance personnel use these forms to correct and repair any issues that may have surfaced during the course of prior trip.
Our record keeping procedures keep our passengers safer. All of our vehicles are uniquely numbered, and have individual records containing the make, model, year, vin number, tire size, a maintenance schedule, and a years worth of maintenance records while the vehicle is in service. In addition, we keep maintenance records for 6 months after a vehicle is retired from service.
The individual vehicle records maintained include all repair orders, the procedure performed and the dates of maintenance for our entire fleet. In which routine maintenance procedures are completed via our certified mechanics in our own in house shop. Specialized maintenance procedures will be handled by dealer as required.
